Writing Services

My services include the research and writing of magazine feature articles, newspaper journalism, business profiles, press releases, Web site content and public relations pieces for my clients. I can also provide limited photography and design work when appropriate.

Writing and Public Relations Services Offered

Press Release–Announcement(such as a new hire or job promotion)ranging from 200-300 words and submitted to local daily, weekly and monthly newspapers. I will also work with the client beforehand to develop and maintain a mailing list of all possible publications for consideration. Charge-$35

News Item Article–An article ranging from 400-600 words with optional photo, submitted to local daily, weekly and monthly newspapers for publication consideration. I will also work with the client to determine possible subject ideas and will handle all guidelines and deadlines with each publication. Charge-$50

Feature Article–An article ranging from 700 words and up,(depending on the publication’s guidelines)including multiple photos and submitted to national or local magazine, trade or specialty publications for consideration. I will also work with the client to help determine what publications may consider running this type of article and will handle all guidelines and deadlines with each publication. Charge-$75 to $100(depending on length of article and number of photos)

Web Site/Media Kit Content–Creating new, as well as updating current content on the client’s Web site through submitting said content to the Web master. I can also create content for media kits or sales tool literature. Charge-$20 per hour(hourly rate charged because of the wide ranges of time that can be spent on the researching, writing and posting of a Web project or the creating of media kit content.

Monthly/Quarterly Newsletter–Will work with the client to create content for a monthly or quarterly company newsletter, which can be distributed to employees, customers, or be utilized as promotional material at events or meetings. Charge-$20 per hour.

Article Placement Service–If there is a particular(local or national)newspaper, magazine or specialty publication in which the client wants to be published, I will initiate contact, investigate said publication’s guide lines and write an article to submit for consideration. The client will be charged only if the article is published, and the fee covers both the writing of the article and the time spent developing the relationship with the publication. Charge - $100

Photography–A photography option allows the ability to provide the client with photos of products or activities taken at an event or job project, which can be used with articles, or Web site and newsletter content. There is a one-time charge for a photo, in which case the image becomes the property of the client and can be utilized multiple times and in a variety of ways.Charge-$25 per image.

Specialized Services – Through a combination of these various services offered, I am always willing to work with the client in order to customize a public relations “plan of action” that will best suit their needs.
