Honora Winery Opens Tasting Room In Manchester

MANCHESTER CENTER, Vt. - Located at 1950 Collins Road in West Halifax, Honora Winery recently opened a new tasting showroom, located at 3609 Main Street in Manchester. The original winery was launched in 1993 by CEO Patricia A. Farrington. “We just opened the new Manchester tasting room in August at a great location near the Equinox Resort,” Janice Stuart said in a recent interview.

Stuart is the vineyard manager and an assistant wine maker at Honora Winery. “We are a winery and vineyard based in West Halifax with a 12-acre vineyard located on a 200-acre property.”

Honora Winery offers a variety of white wines including a Vermont White which is a blend of the white grapes on their vineyard, Sauvignon Blanc, Albarino, Chardonnay and Chardonnay Reserve.

“We work with grapes on our vineyard as well as working with a couple of small vineyards in California that our wine maker, Jeff Branco, has worked closely with for years.”

Honora’s red wines include the cold weather varietal wines; Vermont Red, Frontenac, St. Croix, and Sabrevois, as well as the California varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, Syrah,Syrah Reserve.
